A load gets redirected mid-route. The destination changes, the distance changes, the rate should change. But the paper BOL still says the original destination, and the invoice gets cut against a route that never happened.
Redirects are the single most common source of billing disputes in agricultural hauling. The driver knows the real route. The office does not. The customer disputes the charge. The hauler eats the difference.
The fix is a system that captures the redirect at the moment it happens, in the field, and carries the real route through to billing. The invoice reflects what actually moved. Disputes end because the record is complete.
